Golfer’s/Tennis Elbow Overland Park

With two tennis facilities in our community and numerous courses such as Nicklaus Golf Club at LionsGate in the area, our chiropractors commonly see people having trouble with tennis and golfer’s elbow. We’re well-versed in helping you achieve the stability you need for the overused areas of the elbow.

If you’re concerned that you may have tennis elbow or golfer’s elbow, you may have symptoms such as pain in the elbow, forearm and wrist. Usually, the symptoms persist for 1-2 weeks and are sharp in nature without improvement after a few days. You might have tried bracing or applying ice but still lack the full function of your joints.

The Techniques to Help You Get Better

Often at Body Basics Chiropractic, we’ll work on your shoulders and wrist with methods such as soft tissue work, Graston Technique and Active Release Techniques® to stabilize and strengthen them. Scar tissue or adhesions are common in the surrounding muscles and fascial tissue. Each time you extend your wrist or elbow, you’re tearing more tissue, causing the muscles to tighten up. Our techniques will help to create looser muscles.

We usually see improvement within three visits, recommending a total of 4-8 treatments.
